Ethiopian School Readiness Initiative (ESRI)

The ESRI is a comprehensive pre-school program with three major components of which Education is the conspicuous one. According to ESRI, the children are exposed to basics such as letters, numbers, the Regional and English alphabets, and psycho-social skills. The teaching method is interactive rather than didactic. Our college imparts this perspective concerning pre-primary education and since 2023, ESRI has been working in collaboration with us to support pre-primary training. Major scopes the collaboration covers include offering capacity-building training to the pre-primary teachers, writing modules, and furnishing the pre-primary resource center of the college. The current collaboration will last until 2025.
