I am pleased to welcome you to the Website of Hawassa College of Teacher Education. Our goal is to introduce you to the Vice-Dean for Administrative and Development Affairs, as well as its tasks and affiliated units. Hawassa College of Teacher Education is a well-established public college in Ethiopia dedicated to teaching, research, and community service for over 45 years. It was established as Awassa Teachers Training Institute in 1976 and re-established as a College of Teacher Education in 1996. Since its inception, the college has been training teachers and education leaders for the region and the nation.

The institutional structure of the college includes academic and administrative wings, both of which report to the college dean. The Office of the Vice Dean for Administration and   Development plays a crucial role in achieving the college’s main goal. This office is responsible for mobilizing human resources, managing financial resources and procurement processes and controlling the proper utilization and management of human and material resources. It also strives to create an educational environment that fosters excellence and creativity

Furthermore, the office aims to achieve the goal of the college’s goal through cooperation, solidarity and teamwork among all its units to serve college students and community member. We understand that teamwork is essential for success in any sector.
